Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Taste by Solgine, all services and products are handcrafted, prepared fresh, and require time, ingredients, and preparation work. For that reason, all sales and deposits follow the terms below.

  1. Deposits
    • All catering, private chef, brunch events, décor services, and custom orders require a 50% deposit to secure your date.
    • Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstance.
    • Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit is received.
  2. Cancellations

2.1 Catering / Events / Private Chef
• Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the event:
• Deposit remains non-refundable.
• Cancellations made within 72 hours of the event:
• Client is responsible for full payment, depending on preparation already completed.

2.2 Food Orders (pickup or delivery)
• No cancellations or refunds once preparation has begun.
• For small orders, cancellations within 24 hours are not refundable.

  1. No Refunds on Food & Products

Because all food items are made to order and perishable, we do not accept returns or issue refunds after pickup, delivery, or shipment.

This includes:
• Cremas
• Confiture
• Pastries
• Chiktay
• Gourmet items
• Custom menu creations
• Any fresh or frozen products

  1. Missed Pickups

If you do not pick up your order during the agreed time window:
• No refunds will be issued.
• Items will not be remade without full repayment.

  1. Event Rescheduling

Rescheduling may be possible depending on availability.
Deposits cannot be transferred to another date without approval.

  1. Force Majeure

Taste by Solgine is not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by situations beyond our control (weather, emergencies, natural disasters, etc.).

    • Orders require 2–3 business days for preparation unless otherwise noted.

    • You will receive a confirmation when your order is shipped.

  1. Shipping Methods

We ship using trusted carriers such as:
• USPS
• UPS
• FedEx

Shipping times vary by location.
Once shipped, we are not responsible for carrier delays.

  1. Packaging

We package all products using:
• Insulated liners
• Gel ice packs (if needed)
• Protective cushioning
• Food-safe materials

However, once the package is in transit, we cannot control temperature or handling.

  1. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Packages

Taste by Solgine is not responsible for:
• Lost packages
• Stolen packages
• Delayed deliveries
• Damages caused by the carrier

If your package arrives damaged, please contact the shipping carrier directly to file a claim.

  1. Incorrect Address

If the customer enters the wrong address:
• We are not responsible for lost packages.
• No refunds will be issued.

Please double-check your information before ordering.

  1. No Returns

Due to the nature of food products, we do not accept returns under any circumstances.

We cannot guarantee exact minute-by-minute delivery times due to:
• Traffic
• Weather
• Route delays

  1. Customer Responsibility

Customers must:
• Provide a correct, complete address
• Ensure someone is available to receive the order
• Answer phone calls/messages during delivery window

If no one is present:
• Driver may leave the item if safe to do so
• OR the order may be returned to us
• No refunds or replacements will be issued

  1. Food Safety

Once the customer receives the order:
• Taste by Solgine is not responsible for food mishandling
• Customer must refrigerate, chill, or store properly
• Hot food must be consumed immediately or kept warm safely

  1. Bad Weather

Delivery delays may happen during:
• Storms
• Snow
• Heavy rain
• Unsafe driving conditions

We will do our best to notify you ahead of time.

  1. No Returns

Delivered food items cannot be returned or refunded.
